Overview
Our Dubai Wildlife Safari is the ideal school field trip, offering a thrilling mix of adventure and education. Amidst the dunes, every grain of sand holds fascinating lessons waiting to be discovered. To make the safari even more engaging, we provide students with a Wildlife Encounter Checklist brochure, allowing them to tick off the wildlife they spot and gain a deeper understanding of the desert habitat.
Upon arrival at the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve Visitor Centre, the young explorers will receive a warm traditional Emirate welcome, complete with a serving of delicious dates and biscuits. Following this, they will be divided into two groups and set out on their thrilling adventure.
One of the groups will embark on an exciting wildlife drive in a sturdy 4-wheel-drive vehicle that will take them to the heart of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. During this adventurous ride, the students will have the chance to spot various wildlife species in their natural habitat.
Our knowledgeable and entertaining guide will provide them with interesting facts about the desert and the fascinating lifestyle of the Bedouin people. After the wildlife drive, the group will make their way to a stunning Bedouin-style campsite, where they will have the opportunity to experience first-hand their fascinating way of living.
But the adventure doesn't end there! The journey continues with a stop at a lively camel farm, where the students can get up close and personal with these gentle giants. The camels will surely steal the spotlight with their captivating presence. The tour will then proceed towards a serene lake, where the students can grab their binoculars and engage in some bird watching, spotting various species of birds in their natural habitat.
The other group will embark on a journey of exploration by visiting the exciting exhibitions in the Visitor Centre. Through these exhibitions, the students will discover the secrets of how we protect and preserve this ancient land for future generations. The exhibitions are designed to inspire young minds with hands-on learning experiences and state-of-the-art holograms, making the learning process more engaging and interactive.
After both groups have finished their respective tours, they will swap and embark on the second part of their adventure.
After an exciting morning, it's time for the students to unwind and have lunch at the Visitor Centre. The Centre has a rooftop picnic area, which boasts stunning panoramic views of the desert. The students can relax and take in the breath-taking scenery while enjoying their lunch, before making their way back to school.

Know before you go
The Visitor Centre will be closed every Tuesday & Wednesday for the duration of Ramadan, however a request for a school group on these days we will accommodate accordingly.
What to bring: binoculars, sun hats. Food: We recommend children to bring packed lunches, we do have the option to provide lunch subject to request. Water: Children will always have access to water during the trip.
